Tarasha Benjamin has been missing since 2010 from Selma, Alabama… and it’s shocking! On the day Tarasha went missing, she was driving a friend’s car and the friend was reportedly in the car with Tarasha. She drove to a relative’s home who was having a yard sale. After Tarasha spoke briefly with a relative she took off to the flea market. She is known to visit this flea market frequently. There is no report of anyone seeing Tarasha at this flea market on June 26, 2010, the day she went missing. That could mean she never made it to the flea market or the cops didn’t visit this flea market to ask if anyone seen Tarasha Benjamin.
On June 26, 2010, Tarasha and a friend were in a car but were later separated. The reasons they separated were not reported. This same friend returned to Tarasha’s residence without Tarasha approximately two hours later. That is very concerning but she also sparked the rumors that something might have happened to Tarasha. How did she come to that conclusion only about two hours after seeing her? Seeing the friend was a bit panicked, Tarasha’s mother also felt something was wrong and called the police.
It’s always an uneasy feeling when someone goes missing and can’t be contacted. What makes Tarasha’s disappearance more terrifying is that Tarasha’s dad went missing a year earlier. His body was found behind a Steak Pit (which could be the name of a local restaurant). Sadly, there weren’t any reports of what caused his death. Also, in 1996 two of Tarasha’s siblings died in a house fire. The girls were ages three and four. Is this family targeted?
Two days after Tarasha’s disappearance, the friend’s car she was driving was found. The vehiclke was found after a relative recalled seeing the vehicle on the Cecil Jackson Bypass. It reportedly had a broken driver’s side door handle and two windows were missing. The car (a grey Mazda Tribute) was located a mile from the flea market and facing the opposite direction of the flea market. At this point it’s hard to determine what happened. Someone should have heard windows breaking from the car. How did the car’s door handle break?
Solving The Case
It seems like the car is the biggest piece of evidence in this case. Did the cops collect forensic evidence from outside and inside the car? It’s always a good idea to check nearby security cameras for footage of the car Tarasha was driving. The cops could have also checked the phone records of the friend riding with Tarasha. She has been missing for thirteen years and needs to be found. I pray all missing individuals are found in Jesus name.
